This is going to be a comedy post馃槈. Perhaps you are feeling bored; then you would need to get your chair, sit comfortably to read what I have to say on today's contest topic, and probably laugh out your worries 馃槍.
Just like I promised 
My first ever nickname is nkem,馃槈 surprised? Lol .. you can argue with your keyboard....yes because you might say, but nkem is your name 馃し....hell no! My name is Nkemakonam and my first nickname right from childhood is nkem...yeah! , hope you get the gist now?...Well, you may still need to argue with your keyboard by assuming that nkem should be a pet name instead...lol,
Before we continue, nkem simply means "mine" for the benefit of those who doesn't understand the meaning of my native name
There we go...wow, I love this nickname of mine so dearly , any time any day..I think it's just so unique 馃槏, you will understand better only if you can feel my excitement admiring the name whenever it is being mentioned..
How did this nickname came by?
My Dad was intentional while giving me the name "Nkemakonam". According to him, he said deriving a nickname from my full name will make a lot of sense for my future husband since the meaning is romantic and personal. He told me that my husband will not have to bother himself on the name to call me as he made the simple job more simpler for him. Fortunately, my husband loved the name so much, he still calls me other names but whenever he mention "nkem", I love it more...the name stirs happiness within me even when I am moody, it has a way of lightening up my mood... whenever he offends me, only by hearing nkem, my heart softens 馃槈馃槍...I really do not know exactly how I fall in love with this name but I think is unusual 馃毝馃毝馃毝
What people think about the name and what some call me instead...
Some of my friends said the name is so possessive...and it's not meant for everyone to call but only my husband and hence, some of my colleagues prefer to call me in full "nkemakonam", some call me Akonam, my toasters then call me Nky baby 馃槏, and many of my love crushers then call me Nkem, they will even go further to call it in English and say it romantically...mine馃挄馃槝馃グ, you will be mine forever no matter how you prove hard to get 馃槀馃槀馃槀
Honestly my days as a single bearing this unique nickname was so fun and fantastic 馃槏. Whenever I am being asked about my name, I don't even bother saying my full name, I will just say nkem... Atimes I help people to interpret the meaning in English by saying that it means mine... you need to see how I do pronounce it romantically.. hahaha 馃槀馃槀... well, it will interest you to know that I have gotten a lot of favour bearing this name 馃槀. Some people will just love me just by addressing me by the nickname and I enjoy all the fun and gift the name has brought to me so far.
Till date, I still love this name like I loved it back in those singlehood days. Atimes if I need a particular thing from God, I will tell Him that this job or whatever I am looking up to is mine
just as my nickname and with faith , it becomes mine and I will carry my evident.
In summary, out of other nicknames people address me with, I love nkem the more. I still bear this name and I enjoy being called by the name. I wouldn't change it or stop anyone from calling me by the name.
