What is Coconut Coffee? Is it Coffee with Coconut Oil mixed in? Is it similar to Bulletproof coffee, where you add MCT oil or Organic Kerry Gold Butter to your black coffee? And what are the health benefits?
I found this product at my local museum for adults... also known as Costco.
And the first thing that comes to mind is... is this instant Keto coffee?
That'd be great, because who has time to put coffee in a blender and mix it with butter? You can also add MCT oil, but this could potentially be a messy process!
Well, I'll tell you that all you need to do is add hot water and mix! The taste is delightful, as it is creamy and mildly sweet, but also doesn't have a strong coffee flavor to it. It tastes like a latte, but with a hint of coconut. However, if you're looking for a stronger coffee flavor, I would recommend that you add a shot of espresso to it.
But is it at all healthy for you?
Let's be honest... this ain't Keto. It contains cane sugar/carbohydrates. At least it's natural. Fortunately, the saturated fat comes from coconut, and again, it's natural. However, unfortunately, the saturated fat in a serving totals 50% of your daily value!!!
Already, you can tell... this coffee is natural, but you shouldn't drink it everyday, because it is not healthy for you. Saturated fat + sugar = add on more pounds. If you're going on a keto diet, this coffee is especially NOT for you.
But does it do what it advertises to do?
"Coconut Coffee That Keeps You Energized."
Subjectively, 30 minutes to an hour, my brain does feel wired, and I do feel energized to tackle the day. This coffee is delicious, and I think if you don't plan on eating breakfast, and you want a delicious latte quickly, then this is a good choice.
Coconut Coffee > Starbucks, any day of the week.
Cheers.
