So, after weeks (for Nina months) with packing, cleaning and other preparations for moving out, we made it, right in time. Quite exactly one and a half hour before our flight was leaving we put our last things in the car and drove the thirty minutes to the airport. Five minutes before check-in closed we sent our luggage away and went to our gate. Not long thereafter we were on our way to Singapore.
As expected the travel from Norway to Singapore was long. When we finally arrived there the next day late in the evening we were so exhausted that we actually just wanted to go to sleep. But we were as well very hungry, so we decided to check if there were any restaurants still open. We stayed at Changi Cove Hotel, which was quite a labyrint to get out from. We probably used almost half an hour to find our way out. Then, after walking the Changi Point Boardwalk for another half hour, as we were adviced to do, we were met with this:
The sign was placed at the point where the road were closed (marked with black) which meant we had to walk more than half the way back to get to the alternative access route. Hungry, but even more tired and exhausted, we decided to just leave the food for the next day and went back to the hotel.

The next day we had some hours to spend in Singapore before our flight would leave further to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Before breakfast we went out birdwatching. Due to aircondition in our hotel room, the high temperature outside and the very high humidity, our camera lens was totally covered in dew. Unfortunately this made it very difficult to make some decent bird pictures. This was really bad luck, because at that time a lot of beautiful birds showed up to us. Here is one picture we actually manged to make, despite all conditions:

And this was pretty much what we managed to do in the short time we had in Singapore. What pleased us a lot was that in such a big city state it was still very possible to see some nature and animals. This we have not often experienced in other big cities. So, if you ever visit Singapore, we would advice you to look out for some nature and wildlife between those big buildings as well!
