The power behind your posts.
Getting back to my writing roots means getting back into good habits. Habits formed over years where i used to spend a lot of time reading and writing. Books are where my main interest in writing comes from. The ability to turn words and phrases into new worlds, extreme emotions and change the world through your thoughts and mind.
Someday those thoughts might make it into a proper shape or form. I have published a couple of terrible small books on amazon but it's a huge exaggeration to call them books. They were a few pages of shit thrown together under the guise of publications.
The main problem is structure. For me to write a full novel or book it will need a good structure. A plan or a line to follow. It won't happen from nothing so the best way to get there is in small stages.
Build good habits, write daily and wait until the right post sparks a bigger one. Build a common theme through a series of posts and expand them to something more.
There are lots of ways to get to the end result but only one place to start that journey. By writing.
Write for fun, write for profit, write for yourself or for an audience. But make sure to get writing.
Who knows what might get sparked off from these small steps. I started the #500wordsaday challenge for myself to build up these good habits. It didn't always work as i get lost in other projects from time to time and lose my focus on the writing side of things. That's ok too but i am making another attempt at getting there.
The end goal will be to publish real content to a number of sources. Sources that will build a source of income for the long term. That is a long way form here but until then i will keep pouring out my thoughts onto the page and getting in lots of practice.
Don't worry, these are just for my own satisfaction more than anything else so there is no obligation to read any of my nonsense but if your of the same mindset, feel free to do the same. I will be posting all of these to my own community where you can always find me.
