This is always a funny one since the APR changes so significantly on Hive depending on the price movements. The last time that we had a real pump the APR went over 100% and if was printing coins for the staking account.
Even with the little jump that we have had this week I can see that it is gone to 28% but that will gradually fall back down if the price stays at this level or drops any further.
I always keep a little liquid hive for just this reason and managed to sell to USDC a couple of days ago when the price went up slightly expecting a pull back.
Now that the price has dropped back down I can convert it back for even more hive and stake it for a 28% APR.
I also converted some COTI that I had been sitting on since they closed their staking and binance are only paying 3% on it for now after starting at 21% to try and draw in more capital. It's a coin that I like to hold for staking and future potential but Hive is still the only coin that i actively try to grow my stake in every week.
At almost 11 Hive per day this is one to set and forget for a few weeks until we see what happens next with both the staking APR and the price of the token. If it can manage to increase form here then the APR should hold and the value increase to the point where it's worth selling out of my position again and waiting for the next drop.
The good part of all this is that no matter what the price does from here I am always happy to hold more Hive and it will end up in my Hive account at some stage.
At these low prices you can't go wrong stocking up more tokens and hopefully we can get back up to the $1 level at some stage with the right moves.
