Here we go again.
Another United game and another god knows what is about to happen tonight. Or even who is going to play. For me it has to be all about the league and the champions league.
The cup competitions are non runners and it's a great chance to let the younger players loose against quality opposition.
This is the predicted line up for tonight's game.
Good to see the back up keeper get a run if it's true. No harm to let him have this competition.
The defense is fine if not great and it gets some vital minutes into a few of the fringe defenders.
I would like to see Zirkzee get some minutes tonight as i'm still not sure what he brings to the table. He has talent but how can it add to the team, I don't know.
As for the attack Mbeumo has been poor and tired looking so far this year and the end of last year so have we any young players to start as a winger?
Overall it's ok but I would sub in a few more young lads especially a left back in Harry amass and push Dorgu higher up the pitch which suits him better.
I have no idea if the actual team will look like this but i do know that Brighton are a quality team that put a lot of effort in every game. If United want to win this tie then they need to out work their opposition and let the young lads have a go in some of the positions. Their squad isn't big enough to compete in all competitions this year so we need to see youth get a chance as well as players like Heaven and Sesko that could be a bigger part of the team.
So far this season has been a slow burner and the mentality just doesn't seem quite right in the camp so far. A lot worse than last year when you could feel their enthusiasm for every match and the work rate was much better.
Tonight should be an interesting watch so i'll have the fire down and a hot whiskey to go with it while we see what they can bring to the table tonight.
