As a child I always used to daydream about touring the world and the many trips I would go on when I grow up. I knew I was a homophile from the very moment I started loving those night drives with my dad as he went on and about checking on his business. To him it was business but to me it was more of a trip to another part of the world, let’s call it a look into the night life in various parts of our city.

It didn’t end there. You know how schools try to rip parents off their money by organizing trips for students all the time. My school was like a pro in the game because we always seemed to have a trip to go on. I always used to look forward to those trips and man, I could barely sleep the night before the day of a trip. And I made sure to enjoy every moment of it because I wasn’t gonna let my parents money slip away just like that. I took part in all the activities, sang and danced on the bus and oh the food and drinks, I ate to my satisfaction because why not.

Growing up made things a lot better because now I get to travel where ever I want , when I want and with my own money. I honestly didn’t think I’d go on international trips at a younger age but God did and now, most of the trips I look back to and say I really enjoyed were the ones out of my country. I love traveling and exploring because what’s life without some adventure. I have travelled with people and I have travelled solo and I think both are fun depending on the travel destination and your goals for that trip.

Currently, I wouldn’t mind taking a solo trip to the other end of the word because I’d like to believe that kind of trip would really come in handily to met mental health as this particular point in my life. I wouldn’t really mind hopping into a car right now and driving all the way to another country or town. A road trip across the country does sound like a good plan. I don’t think I would have much problems aside the language barrier and the food which can all be handled with ease. If there’s one travel hack I’ve learnt over the years, it’s to make sure you have snacks or food from your home country on you for every trip you go on because you never know how the food over their might be for you.

I would most definitely be too caught up in having fun to even worry about food or the language barrier. When going on such a trip, the goal is to have fun and so you go on it with an open mind and make everything a memory to remember.
