Then, I was thought to be living the life because most people’s parents didn’t have their own phones let alone a whole Internet cafe. Today however, the story is different. We have a wide variety of technology at our disposal to chose from and you know the good thing, technology keeps proving my African mother and her mates wrong. I thought we had seen the end of it until recently when I discovered there was a fufu machine and oh my, technology couldn’t have done it better.
I don’t know about you but I for one like to have life easy. I will always at any day and time pay for the ease of I can afford it. Technology has been that ease for most of us today. You don’t need to worry about washing your clothes for hours when you can invest on a washing machine, cooking has also been made easier among other basic life needs.
And don’t get me started with knowledge. Thanks to AI, you don’t need to suffer to get information. There’s no information you won’t find on the internet unless it is classified. With this, I don’t think anyone of us has the excuse to be ignorant about anything but some of us still do, unfortunately.
Most recently, we have all come to see and enjoy the different trajectories which technology can extent to. We have fully made Ai movies now and I have binged a whole series of that recently on TikTok. Amidst all these we get to enjoy, we always have these things that will pop up which we never expect to. Like a video of someone doing something bad. Say maybe someone in a higher position taking a bribe or doing something bad and these videos look so real that you won’t think it’s made from Ai.
Sometimes these videos even make you think how someone can wake up and think of such an act. Why would someone have to go to this extreme extent just to tarnish someone’s image. I can and will never be able to wrap my head around something like this but hey, people do it and we see it every blessed day.
Now the big question is, did AI just wake up one day and decide to generate this video on its own? Obviously not! It’s our own fellow human beings that hide behind their devices and execute such acts just to tarnish the image of others. To me, this is really uncalled for. But then again, people will always find a way to make every good thing look bad. Now, let’s ask ourselves again? Who is really the enemy here. AI or ourselves? You know the answer yourself.
