First, let鈥檚 talk about how some people have no sense of fashion in their lives at all, especially the other gender. I understand that not everyone makes a big deal out of what they wear but at least, we owe ourselves the opportunity to look decent. While I was in the university, I saw all sorts of things when it came to people鈥檚 sense of fashion. Tell me why you will wear a shirt with trousers only to wear bathroom slippers which look white from all the soap in the bathroom. I mean how can you even step out of your house looking like that? Don鈥檛 you have a mirror or something?
The first thing that draws me to people when I first meet them is how they appear. What you wear speaks loads about who you are. They say women love shopping for clothes a lot. Well, that would probably be because we love to always look good and confident . For me, what I wear for the day mostly describes my mood and my energy for the day. There are days when I鈥檓 not really in the mood for anything, that鈥檚 when you鈥檒l find me dressing a bit normal but , in a normal day, trust me to meet the standards.
I always say it鈥檚 better to overdress than underdress. If I have it, why not. Fashions wise, I鈥檓 more of a trouser person. You鈥檇 hardly find me in anything aside trousers unless there鈥檚 the need for that. If I鈥檓 right, I have only two skirts in my wardrobe and even with that, I can count the number of times I鈥檝e worn them which is one or twice and that was years ago. For straight dresses and other casual clothing, I do have a lot but I only wear them when I have to.
Recently, my life has been all about work so it鈥檚 mostly official stuff I wear which is also mainly anything with trousers. I just feel more comfortable in trousers as compared to skirts and what have you or maybe that鈥檚 just what I鈥檝e made myself to believe.馃槀 And the funny part of all this is that, I have a billion clothes sitting there but I always don鈥檛 have something to wear. I guess that鈥檚 just how we ladies are. But , I think now my sense of fashion is directed more to clothes that don鈥檛 hold my body. You know, more of open clothing cos they are really comfortable.
Dressing appropriately and also to look good isn鈥檛 something you should do once in a while. It should be an everyday thing because you owe it to yourself. Don鈥檛 come out in bathroom slippers looking all wretched cos people would treat you how you appear. And oh, after all this, remember to smell nice cos looking good while smelling bad is cos 90.馃
