I debated for many months on how I can support the promotion of the #Steemit platform. After a number of posts by 
I find myself in multiple professional events and networking activities so thought it could be a great opportunity when someone asks what else I have been doing. I have also spoke with many friends and family about this platform and some have even joined to share their own experiences and knowledge.
I think it is great that anyone could post about their best interest as the more diversified the content is, the more diversity of users we get. When I first joined, most of the content I saw (and was attracted to) was about blockchain and cryptocurrencies. However, I have seen many great posts about art, education, books, sports, and many others. I have enjoyed sometimes looking outside my area of interest to read about the community.
I have also started to gather interest in reading about new users through the #introduceyourself tag as I feel it is important to support needs users as they will be inportant content creators and curators in the future if we want the success that we want. In July, I will be supporting the #minnowuprising initiative to produce and upvote more content to generate more rewards for smaller accounts in order to prove the potential power of the masses.
This has been a stride for me as I normally categorize myself as an introvert which does not tend to talk much in social spaces. I am trying to break the mold a bit in an effort to really explore what this ecosystem can do for my family and me and many others that have stories and knowledge to share.

On a side note, I am happy to say that we past 500 followers this week and acheived a 53 reputation. I am considering giving back to the community by giving away some SBD. I’m still unsure what it will be but would open to hear some ideas! Let me know in the comments below.
