Another fresh morning in Brisbane and I was hoping to give my hamstring a good test and workout but as soon as I started warming up it still felt way too tight. So after chatting to a few of the locals and listening to the run brief I settled into the back of the pack of 60 odd runners and walks and cruised around the 5 kilometre course in 31:09.

I got to chat with a couple during the run and even stop for a photo. I finished 19th overall and had a bit of a laugh when the results came out and had me first in my age group. Laugh because there were some older guys way in front of me but there in a different age group. I hung around after I had finished to chat to a few other people as I like the idea of talking to new people that show up and parkrun tourists.
