Another new thing to keep me busy! There is so much stuff to consider when going solar. How many panels, which part of the roof to put them in, how long before a battery will pay for itself? I don't think there is any one perfect answer. It is more what suits your needs and how much you're willing to adapt.
It is great to see the battery fully charged after a lot of overcast days since everything was put together.
The next step is to get a different electrical grid supplier plan so I can get paid for the power I supply to the grid. There seem to be some very attractive plans for the supply of power during peak time, but the best seem to involve giving up total control of your battery to the energy retailer. I think I will stick to the lower feed-in rates until I know what my usage is like.
