A Blue tongue lizard on our afternoon run /walk in the nature reserve. It was a pretty eventful adventure into our local nature reserve.
First up, we had to give a baby plover and its noisey parents a wide berth. There was also a large bird of prey gliding around overhead. We were not sure if it had it's eye on the baby plover or something else in the nature reserve.
Next up, a snake stopped us in our tracks, but it quickly moved away into the long grass. Then last but not least it was the blue tongue lizard, as usual we thought it was another snake by the way it moves but it was just a friendly older looking lizard probaby trying to warm itself up in the afternoon sun.
I had to take it bit of video and then screenshot the video to capture the blue tongue as it moves in and out too fast for the phone camera.
