Rosetta had always been an incredible singer. She started off strong on stage by winning a singing competition. That competition opened doors for her in the music industry very quickly. She received contracts, interviews with big names, and later, all kinds of collaborations. This helped her pave the way to one of her most important destinations: joining DWE, the band that would truly launch her career. They discovered her after seeing the buzz she generated by winning the competition and her subsequent successes. So, they thought she was an excellent choice to be the group's vocalist.
She loved the idea of joining them because they were among the best, and being part of them was almost an honor, because she was an up-and-coming singer. But although the band was good, they had been declining for a while due to the lack of a good vocalist. With her, everyone won; Rosetta became famous, and the band returned to stardom as it always should have been. Their relationship was special because together they had surpassed themselves on every level. But that relationship wouldn't last forever.
After achieving great success, Rosetta got married, but this didn't affect the band at all, as she remained as active as ever. What began to strain their musical relationship was her unexpected and unprepared pregnancy. So, she gradually needed to dedicate more time to her pregnancy and care, and couldn't be as active as she had been a few months prior.
This began to bother the band, because they wanted her with them 24/7 and always available, as they had many projects underway and couldn't do them without the vocalist. They were so cynical that they even asked her not to have her baby. This angered Rosetta immensely, leading her to argue with them and put them in their place. While it didn't completely break their relationship, it severely strained it; the tension between them was palpable. They had to postpone certain projects many times while she was pregnant. Often, just to please them, Rosetta would go on stage to sing at eight months pregnant, even though she was no longer up for such a commotion.
These appearances appeased them, but they showed her how little they valued her, because they didn't understand her. Then her youngest son was born, and that's when everything truly fell apart. At first, she couldn't continue singing or attend rehearsals because she had just given birth. Then she couldn't sing as much because she needed to make time for her son; she couldn't be on tour or rehearsing all the time.
All these delays caused the band to implode; they didn't understand her. They were only focused on numbers, money, and efficiency. So they resented her for not being there when they needed her. So they simply fired her and found another vocalist, saying she was better and would always be there.
Rosetta felt hurt. They just needed to understand her and wait a little longer for her triumphant return, but they only wanted money and immediate results. Since there was no other option, she simply accepted what had happened and didn't dwell too much on the injustice they had done to her. When her son turned about five, she returned to music, just like before, but without neglecting her family. This time she did it as a solo artist; she set her own schedule, and no one told her what to do. She wouldn't make the same mistake of joining the wrong crowd; better alone than in bad company.
Some time later, she reclaimed her place in the spotlight, as it always should have been and as she always was. She was killing it as a solo artist, and on top of that, she learned that her old band had just broken up because they never achieved success again, since their lead singer was never like her. Now she knows that justice has been served. If they had waited, they would still be with her at the top; now they are nothing. She will continue with her head held high, for herself and for her loved ones.
