It was only a matter of time; in a few years, Curly would be able to start singing. He just needed to decide what kind of music he would specialize in. His voice at that time was thin and high, as he was still a child. Since he wanted to decide in advance what he would dedicate his future to music, he thought it would be wonderful to sing opera later on. To make this decision, he was guided by the state of his voice at that time of development. He told his music school teachers that he wanted to sing opera when he was older, as his voice was thin and perfect for it. They didn't agree with him making that choice at such a young age.
They feared it might be a hasty decision, but he insisted and convinced everyone that it was the right thing to do. Therefore, he was moved to a classroom with other students to begin opera lessons from a young age. In this musical specialty, Curly quickly excelled and was the most advanced of all his classmates. Then his teachers and he himself believed they had made the right decision in defining his future career in opera.
In the following years at school, he stood out even more and began to be recognized as one of the best students. He was always the first to arrive; when classes were in progress, the others were distracted, but he was paying attention and asking questions. And when it was time to practice, because he was the one who paid the most attention, he knew the most. His teachers noticed all of this and saw a very bright future for him.

Those were years of incredible learning. Curly learned so much about the art he thought he would dedicate himself to. But then came the end of adolescence. He was now a young man. He had once longed for this point in his life, but he soon realized that it would change everything he had learned up to that moment. With the arrival of adolescence, the high, delicate voice that had characterized him from the beginning began to fade. It became increasingly husky and deep, normal changes for that stage of life. This brought several problems. To begin with, it became harder for him to stand out in the classroom with his fellow students.
Some already thought he was strange because he didn't sound the same. And that was just the beginning. Because a little while later, his voice changed completely, becoming much deeper. He no longer had that delicate voice. So he was no longer in the right classroom; he was a tenor. Curly had to change classrooms, his friends, and even his teaching because he was in the wrong place. It was a tough blow that after training and thinking for years that he would be a baritone singer, he now had to change. His teachers encouraged him a lot and told him not to get discouraged.
These things happen in music. The important thing is knowing how to adapt. In any case, he still had time to make the changes. Although it was very difficult for him to adapt since everything was new, he persevered. He realized that it wasn't so bad after all. He had the talent and the knowledge from everything he had learned; he wouldn't really have to start from scratch. It was just a matter of changing his approach to practice and teaching.

Years later, after many sacrifices, he finally achieved his dream. He graduated as an opera tenor. It was a long process of learning and adaptation to get there, but it was worth every minute. It's true that life sometimes gives you lemons and turns your plans upside down when you least expect it, but the important thing is to make lemonade out of lemons. Curly is the best example of that. It is said that he will go so far that he will be remembered forever as the opera singer who adapted to a radical career change. He is a great man and an example for everyone at the school.
