The end of the month is approaching, and Philipe is drowning in debt. He owes money to various investors and lenders, and even to his friends and family. He's a sound engineer at a music recording studio. But lately, they haven't had many clients, so he's practically been out of work all month. That's why he's reached the end of the month full of worries and burdened with significant debt. He's afraid he won't be able to pay, because if he doesn't, he could lose his business and the bank could close down the recording studio.

He hasn't been idle. He's looked for other sources of financing, but they've all rejected him because they know he's bankrupt. Because of all these misfortunes, he became very depressed and almost gave up. What hurt him most was losing his studio, which his grandfather founded several decades ago. But when all seemed lost, something happened. It turns out that a singer passing through town wanted to collaborate with one of the local singers. Since Philipe's studio was closer, they decided it was the best place to record the songs.

Furthermore, the studio was close to where the singers were staying. Well, almost at the end of the last week of the month, when everything seemed lost for Philipe, they arrived at the studio door. There was a little bell on the door, and when he heard it, he became very worried because he thought it was some debtors coming to collect an overdue debt. But what a surprise he got, because it was the singers with their musicians. They told him they wanted to record some songs in the studio and that they wanted him to record and edit them.

In exchange, they would give him a lot of money and pay him well if he had the songs ready in a week. But he wouldn't just earn a lot of money; he would also gain prestige because the singers were famous, and working with them would enhance the business's reputation, attracting the attention of other singers. It was a golden opportunity because if he did a good job, he could pay and wouldn't have to close the studio. That day, they signed the contract and started working. They recorded several songs, and Philipe began editing them. When they heard a sample, they were blown away.

They told him they loved his mixing and editing style and wanted him to edit all the songs and call them when they were ready. They agreed it would be in a week or even sooner. After they left, he started editing; he didn't even sleep that day. He wanted to work as fast as he could to get the money and pay off his debts.

About four days later, he had the songs ready. He had done it in record time, so he was really happy. He was sure the singers would give him a raise for his hard work. The result of the songs was really good, so he was confident that everything would turn out great. But as they say, it's best not to count your chickens before they hatch. He called the singers to come the next day to review the work and take the finished songs. And they were very happy too, and they promised him the raise he wanted.

He only had to wait those 24 hours to pass, and he'd be back in a good financial position with the business. But that afternoon, after the call, a severe storm hit with strong winds and lightning. While he was finishing up the song titles and other minor details, lightning struck his internet antenna. The electrical current traveled through the cables and reached his editing computer. It instantly caught fire, and a blaze broke out in the studio. But he quickly grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the burning computer.

Fortunately, there wasn't much damage to the studio, but his computer was charred and its internal components destroyed. That's when he realized the magnitude of what he had caused. The only copy of the finished songs was on that computer, so there was no way to access the music stored there.

He didn't know what to do; he was going crazy. In a few hours, the singers were due to arrive to pick up the songs and check the work, and now everything was destroyed. He felt devastated. He spent the rest of the afternoon replacing computer parts, but he couldn't get it working. Since he couldn't fix it himself, he called Lucas, one of his friends, to see if he could take a look at it. Lucas was a computer technician. When he arrived and saw the mess, he realized it was pretty bad. Just by looking at it, he could tell Philipe there was no way to make it work, since many important components were destroyed. This devastated Philipe even more.

But between tears and despair, Lucas had an idea. Perhaps the hard drive still worked; he just had to connect it to another PC. So he quickly took his laptop out of his backpack and connected the charred hard drive. Amazingly, it still worked. And they were able to make a copy of all the songs. Philipe could only hug him and cry. The next day, the singers arrived and saw part of the damage, but they saw Philipe smiling broadly, so that gave them back their confidence. He showed them the songs, and they were satisfied. They paid him right then and promised to return for more collaborations.

Despite all the problems and setbacks, he achieved his goals, thanks in large part to Lucas's help. With the new money, he didn't have to close the business. Now he could focus on continued growth. He expected many new clients, as this good work had given him a great reputation. He never gives up, and after this experience, even less so. Now he looks to the future with greater optimism and is happy.
