Years ago when first starting out with my photography, I created a lot of still life pieces. This one in particular comes to mind as it was all home made.
I started by printing out the image of the stone doorway and wall and ended up backing a box shaped model. I was in my element at my desk making this with paper and tape, and watching Spiderman cartoons on my laptop! Once I have made the box section, I printed out the sky with the butterfly and poppies on, and stuck this behind, but far enough back to create a shadow to enhance that 3D effect.
Finally I out the clouds and hung these with white cotton.
The photograph itself was very simple and didn't take much to do, but the work and effort went into the buidlind of the model which I thoroughly enjoyed making..
