Cojimar,Cuba
There are places one visits, and others one carries with them for a lifetime.
For me, Cojímar is one of those places. It is where I was born and raised; amidst its streets, its sea, and its people, many of the memories that shape who I am today began to take form.
That is why sharing these images with the Ecency community also means sharing a small part of my own story.
Every image I show of Cojímar holds meaning for me. Some remind me of familiar places, others of moments in my life, and some simply evoke that special feeling of looking once more at a place that is part of my roots.
Cojímar holds something hard to put into words. Its sea, its streets, its fishermen, its boats, and its old buildings are all part of a story that lives on in the present.
Sometimes, we become so accustomed to the places where we grew up that we stop truly seeing them. Yet, as time passes, we discover just how much those landscapes—which once seemed like mere background to our daily lives—actually meant to us.
That is why I want *naturecreation* to make room for these kinds of memories, too.
While my goal here is to discover and share natural wonders, stories, science, and curiosities from around the globe, I also want to showcase places that are part of my own personal history.
After all, exploring the world can also begin with remembering where we come from.
These images are a way to bring you a little closer to Cojímar, but also to preserve memories that are part of my life.
Perhaps, upon seeing these images, someone might be reminded of their own hometown, their childhood, a familiar street, or that place which—even if left far behind—they still carry with them.
Because some places do not disappear when we move away from them.
They remain in our memories, in our stories, and in the images that allow us to return to them.
And Cojímar will always be one of those places for me.
This journey is just beginning; *naturecreation* aims to open up a new space for our roots—for those places that will forever remain a part of our hearts.
