O tener tacto, o no sé.
Greetings Black and White Community, this is my entry for today's #Monomad Challenge, but wait... I want to tell you a little bit about what my Idea is all about.
Not a few times I have thought about how horrible these concrete boxes are for storing humans. And that day the walk to find these images, with the exception of the last one, was not long. So that recurring idea of the boxes didn't stay in my head too long.
I just aimed and shot at a few of those spawns as I advanced... a few blocks, not even half a kilometre on foot.
I was on my way to work after getting off a "guagua", as we call buses here.
The photo of the reflection, the palm trees, the buildings, it was just in the lobby, when I arrived, where I got my wires crossed a little, I was no longer alone, I was no longer only immersed in my thoughts about boxes.
I was being spoken to, greeted by several colleagues, and informed about a job that couldn't wait. I had a bit of a temper, I confess, but neither they nor anyone else was to blame for making it so hard for me to cope. Or being tactful, or I don't know. I'm not tactful with people most of the time.
I locked myself for months, years, in a crystal ball from which I still can't get out completely. Sometimes I avoid talking to people for fear of hurting them. I have no bad thoughts, no hatred, no grudges in my heart, no matter how many blows I have let life give me. Because it is truly so, life hits you when you let it do so.
I believe that the only way to avoid it is not being so apprehensive, learn to let go, let everything flow without judging, and understand that nothing and no one is eternal, nor can affect you more than you affect yourself, undeniable owner of your thoughts, your actions and your life.
But how could I ever change to this point, if I find it hard to get rid of even an empty container (I'm thinking of a bottle of perfume, for example)?
Maybe my brain is inside a box or from so much seeing and thinking about boxes it has become one. This is just an idea.
The last two pictures have nothing to do with boxes. One is the so-called "raspadura"1 of the Plaza de la Revolución in Havana and the other is a view of Avenida Carlos III, with the church on Reina Street in the background, covered with a veil. Very strange things happen in my mind, but in the city as well. Or maybe it's the heat... I don't know.
