Good morning dear Friends in the Black And White Community 馃檶馃摳

Today, I鈥檓 going to describe the photos that follow in this post a bit differently. Almost every one of them features both parallel lines and diagonals. Parallel lines create a sense of order, repetition, and stability, while diagonals introduce dynamism, movement, and depth, guiding the viewer鈥檚 gaze through the photograph toward its vanishing point. It is precisely the interplay between these two elements that gives a photograph its power: the parallel lines bring order, the diagonals create perspective, and their convergence provides depth. In this photograph of the railway station in my city, the tracks, the edges of the platforms, and the safety railings form strong diagonals that draw the eye deep into the frame. The platform roof and the railings create a series of parallel lines that bind the space together into a harmonious whole.

The message: observe the lines, sense the space, and find your direction, but first
