One of the hardest things for me—and something I long to master—is brevity. Recent events have reminded me how vital it is right now.
When I need to open up, to express what I feel or think, I turn to writing or photography: the gaze that shifts, the shutter pressed at a precise instant, always tied to what we carry within.
(Could be I’m in need of a therapist. They don’t judge—they’re there to support and hand you the tools you need)
Best to ask for help without explanations—that’s the smarter way to go. Few people care about what you live through, about the heaviness of feeling stuck when your body refuses to respond. Everyone is facing their own battles. So why burden them with ours, with the shadows and the sense of drifting? It’s not that others lack empathy—it’s that I must take responsibility for my own path.
Life marks each of us differently. Each one has what they must—or chose—to live.
People are just how they are, and you don’t need a bad experience with them to see how they might act. If you’ve watched them closely or know them well, you already get the picture.
I believe I can explain this more clearly without digression, by being brief, though I shall leave that idea for the next post. After all, being brief is not about saying less, but about saying what is essential.
