Sometimes I am standing in front of my wardrobe, which is full of clothes and yet I tell myself, I have nothing to wear. When I say this to hubby he gets very annoyed with me. He asks me what is there in your wardrobe then. Then I clarify, what I meant is nothing is there to wear for that particular occasion and the mood I have for that day. This is what happens with most of us ladies right? We are always in a dilemma what to wear, even after a full wardrobe. For us ladies, the line - I have nothing to wear - is very common....haha.
The thing is that it's not about the clothes it's about the mood, which the men do not understand. Our wardrobe is like a storage of our mood and what my mood is on a particular day probably there is no outfit to match with it. I may have all the colors I need in my wardrobe and yet, I am looking for something else which is not present in the wardrobe.
Honestly, my wardrobe looks full, but then it is divided in so many parts. There are some clothes which I have worn it only once and now I do not like to wear them anymore or they do not fit me well. I have kept them with a thought that, someday I will wear it, and that someday only god knows when it will arrive :-). Then there are some which are very expensive and I can only wear it on a special occasion so they are not for the common use category. Then there are some which I have bought in cheap prices during sale just in greed and now I do not feel like wearing them. There are a few clothes which are also emotional attachment for me, they were a gift or they are attached to a special memory, or they are from my good old young days and I do not have the heart to discard them.
So, after all of this what I actually have left in my wardrobe is very little to choose from. When I say, I have nothing to wear, I mean it :-), and the truth is that a woman at any given time and day has more moods than a man. If I am wearing something, my dress should match with my shoes and bag and the jewelry. Before deciding what to wear I need to also think of all of these matching things to go with the dress and most importantly to suit the occasion.
Trust me, standing in front of a full wardrobe with nothing to wear is not a lie or a drama that a woman is making, it is actually a mental load that she is going through....haha.
Ladies, what do you have to say for this?
