Hello creative friends! My name is Nahinel, this is my first post in this great community, for some time now I have been sewing, my husband bought me a sewing machine, and I really love to see how the fabrics are taking shape, however more than once I have seen the need to start again or unpick several times the same piece, lately I have noticed that I need a pincushion because for that purpose I use an anime which I wrapped in a fabric, and I wanted something nice to decorate my machine so I decided to make one in the shape of a flower.

For this project I used some scraps of fabric that I had at home, some elastic and other flat fabrics, any can serve you, at first I thought to fill with the same scraps, but I realized that the flower lost its original shape, so I used stuffing from a pillow that is no longer in use, I like to give a second chance to the materials, to perform this activity I invested about 1 hour and 30 min, the result was beautiful I love how it brightens up a little my work area which was one of my goals with this project.
Well now hands to the fabrics let's start, first we will define the materials we are going to use and then I will explain step by step how to do it

We take the smallest circle that will be the center of the flower, and we sew a seam around the edge of it, and we pull the thread, at this moment we introduce the stuffing, we finish closing making sure that nothing comes out.

We take the circles that will be the petals, we fold them in half and fold them in half again, we bake along the edge that is open, making a first safe stitch, we continue baking until the middle and introduce the filling in one of the layers of fabric, we close and take to the end of thread to make something like a chain with the petals, we perform the same procedure with the remaining 5. we close the circle.

At this point the flower is almost ready, it only remains to assemble it, for this you can bake the pieces or glue them, you can leave it like this to place it on your table or put a ribbon on the back and adjust it to your machine or why not, glue it to the lid of your sewing box.

I love this project, I hope you are encouraged to do it, we do not realize how much we need it until we have it, we can even make it miniature version by reducing the diameters of the circles, we can play with colors and make beautiful combinations I love the result.

The photos were taken by me with my Redmi 9C and edited in CANVA.

Hola amigos creativos!
