Those of you who follow my blog and are familiar with the technique I’ve been using for years must have noticed that I have a real passion for making flowers. Lately, I’ve been sharing many designs on my blog, some of which are even inspired by characters from video games.

Well, today I’m sharing another flower design—one of the many I can create using this technique. Here’s a decorative 3D flower made using the quilling technique.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Lo que conocen mi blog y la técnica que he utilizado durante años deben haberse dado cuenta que tengo una inclinación muy grande por hacer flores, en estos días en mi blog he mostrado muchos modelos inspirados hasta en personajes de algunos juegos.

Pues para hoy le traigo otro modelo de flor de los muchísimos que puedo materializar en esta técnica. Les dejo una flor decorativa en 3D en la técnica de quilling.

Esperando que sea de su agrado, les dejo mi proceso creativo:

Comencemos:😃

• Let’s start by taking 3mm-wide aquamarine and light green quilling paper. Wind the paper around the needle, starting with the aquamarine color until you reach the end of the strip. Remove it from the needle, loosen it slightly, and secure it with extra-strong white glue to form an open circle. We’ll need 10 identical circles.

• Shape them into teardrops to form the first group of petals. Once the petals are ready, glue them together in groups of 5, then join both groups together. This will form the first part of our flower.

• To make this first petal section sturdy, apply a layer of extra-strong white glue and let it dry completely.

• Vamos a comenzar tomando cinta para quilling de color aguamarina y verde claro de 3mm de ancho, enrollaremos con la aguja empezando por el color aguamarina hasta llegar al final de la cinta, sacamos de la aguja soltamos un poco, sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte, para obtener un círculo abierto. Vamos a necesitar 10 círculos iguales.

• Vamos a moldear en forma de gota para formar el primer grupo de petalos, listos los pétalos los pegaremos en grupos de 5, luego uniremos ambos grupos. De esta manera formaremos la primera parte de muestra flor.

• Para endurecer bien está primera pieza de pétalos aplicaremos una capa de pega blanca extra fuerte, dejamos secar muy bien.

• Take some more 3mm-wide aquamarine and light green ribbon. Wrap it around a size 3 circle mandrel from top to bottom, secure it with white glue, and remove it from the mandrel. You’ll need 5 of these.

• We’ll shape these hollow circles or rings into teardrops; they’ll be the second part of our flower’s petals.

• We’ll glue all the petals together with white glue, just as you can see in the picture.

• Tomaremos nuevamente cintas combinadas aguamarina y verde claro de 3mm de ancho, estás las vamos a enrollar en un mandril para círculos en la medida número 3 de arriba hacia abajo, sellamos con pega blanca sacamos del mandril. Vamos a necesitar 5 iguales.

• Estos círculos huecos o aros los moldearemos en forma de gotas, serán la segunda parte de pétalos de nuestra flor.

• Uniremos con pega blanca todos los pétalos tal y como pueden ver en la imagen.

• Let’s join the two sets of petals by gluing the hollow petals onto the top of the ones we made earlier.

• To make the center of the flower, I created a small closed circle in light green and glued it in the center.

• To finish, protect, harden, and seal the flower, I applied several layers of extra-strong white glue, letting each layer dry before applying the next.

This is how I completed this decorative 3S flower using the quilling technique.

• Vamos a unir ambos grupos de Petalos, pegando los pétalos huecos en la parte de arriba de los que hicimos con anterioridad.

• Para hacer la parte central de la flor, realicé un pequeño círculo cerrado de color verde claro y lo pegué en el centro.

• Para finalizar, protejer, endurecer y plastificar la flor, apliqué varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte dejando secar entre una capa y otra.

De esta manera finalice este modelo de una flor decorativa en 3S, en la técnica de quilling.
