I delivered Hachi's map to a monk, who revealed Sadao's hiding spot at Ariake's lighthouse. Alongside Lady Masako, I rode through the night to confront the conspirator. After I defeated the guards outside, Masako ascended the structure alone and executed Sadao, leaving a warning for the remaining traitors.
I delivered the map to the local monk, who studied the markings carefully and revealed that the routes led directly to Ariake's lighthouse. Lady Masako arrived shortly after the conversation concluded, preferring to speak directly with Jin about their next move.
During the conversation, Masako expressed a desire to make Sadao suffer in anticipation, wanting him to fear the consequences of his actions before they arrived. This conversation prompted us to mount our horses and prepare to ride out to face the traitor at his hiding spot.
We traveled by horseback under the moonlit sky toward the nearby lighthouse, navigating the dark paths together. During the journey, Jin and Masako discussed how Sadao had engineered the severe rice shortages that devastated Kuta, revealing the true depth of his greed.
We arrived at the lighthouse and discovered numerous bandit guards monitoring the perimeter. Masako noted that the coward was likely hiding at the very peak of the structure, so I bypassed the traditional standoff and initiated the attack by leaping directly onto a guard.
A fierce battle ensued as I fought to defeat the remaining guards outside the structure. Masako was nowhere to be seen in the immediate vicinity, suggesting she had either moved ahead to confront Sadao on her own or was engaged with other enemies further away.
I climbed to the top of the lighthouse quickly after hearing the sounds of a violent struggle coming from above. Upon reaching the summit, I discovered that Masako had already confronted and neutralized Sadao, ended his life before I could intervene.
Masako stated that Sadao's death would send a clear message to the remaining conspirators, forcing them to live in fear and eventually make a critical mistake. She warned Jin that they both needed to remain highly careful moving forward.
Before the mission officially concluded, Masako promised to lend her blade at the Kaneda farmstead when the time arrived for Jin to rescue his uncle. With that final agreement, she departed into the night, leaving Jin alone to plan his next move.
