I joined a woman in battle to defeat a group of Mongol enemies, including a heavy brute, an archer, and several swordsmen. After clearing the threat, Jin shared advice with her. I claimed my reward, explored the burning settlement, passed a storyteller, and played my flute by the sea before pausing the journey.
I rushed toward the woman as soon as I saw her struggling against the Mongol soldiers. She was surrounded, and I knew that by fighting together, we could take down the Mongols much faster and with far less hardship.
As the fight unfolded, she held her ground against several soldiers, which allowed me to focus my attention on a large, heavy brute who posed the biggest threat. While I traded blows with him, I noticed a Mongol archer positioned at a distance, constantly firing arrows and making the battle far more annoying.
I decided to target the archer next to put an end to his suppressive fire. A Mongol swordsman tried to track me down and cut me off as I moved, but I rushed past him, closed the distance to the archer, and brought him down with a series of heavy strikes.
The swordsman who had been following me stepped right into my path immediately afterward, so I gave him exactly what he was looking for and eliminated him on the spot.
With those threats cleared, I turned back to help the woman, who was actively engaged with two remaining Mongols. I jumped into the fray, stroked fast to assist her in cutting them down.
Only one last archer remained at that point, taking shots at us from a distant elevated position. I sprinted toward his location, leaped upward to close the gap, and finished him off with powerful sword strikes.
With all the Mongols defeated, I walked over to speak with the woman. She was relieved and grateful, especially after everything she had been through regarding the loss of her people. Jin took a moment to offer her some wisdom, advising her to return home and master her emotions rather than letting anger consume her.
With that conversation finished, the side quest for Tsushima came to a official end. As a reward for completing the mission, I received the Charm of Hidden Sight, which provided a stealth bonus.
After the woman left the place, I decided to explore the surrounding area. The entire settlement was still burning, with smoke rising into the air while a heavy storm raged above.
Dead bodies were scattered around the site, belonging to people who had hoped to meet the woman but met their end because of the Mongol presence instead.
As I walked through the ruined village, I noticed a legend storyteller sitting nearby. He offered an entry into Legends mode, but since I was not familiar with it and did not want to disrupt my current mood, I decided to ignore it for the time being.
Instead, I walked down toward the seaside to take in the dramatic atmosphere. I pulled out my flute, and began to play a slow melody, mixing the soft sound of the music with the loud thunder of the storm.
