One day I decided it was time
I put an end to what
that wasn't doing me any good
I said ‘no more’, it was over
I was wandering on by mistake
I took the reins of my life
and put a stop to my suffering
I walked away without looking back,
without regrets or doubts
I insisted no more,
I let time heal everything
I went on my way
without remorse or guilt
I simply left
With no more reasons or excuses
Today I look at the time past
with peace of mind
I am grateful to have taken
the reins of my walk
For I knew that what I did
hurt my soul
And I chose to take care of
my peace rather than calm
