This story starts at 02:30 AM in Australian Eastern Standard Time...
I was woken up by the cat who was meowing loudly and non-stop. To get her away from everyone else who was sleeping, I took her to the lounge room - far away from the others in the family. She kept meowing and nudging me. I know her too well - she wanted to go outside to do Number 2's
She was guided to the kitty litter and told "You're not allowed outside at night. This is what you have - just use it!!"
She refused! As far as she is concerned, a lady like her deserves privacy and the discreet location of the far garden - not the laundry for goodness sake! Well - tough!! That's all she has at night. Make to most of it! If she goes outside and the council pick her up there is a hefty fine.
Madam disagreed with me, and this tussle went on for over an hour (I did my freewrite in this time). She finally used the kitty litter and settled (with more meows!!)
My husband got up at 0500 and was out the door at 0600 for work - which is why I'm the one to deal with her while he sleeps. I was dozing off at 0630 when there was almighty bashing at the locked cat door built into the lounge window. She had snuck out when he left - gone for a wander and now expecting to get back in like Lady Muck!! At first I thought "Stuff you - no! " But she was so noisy that I had to let her in. :(
Later in the day, completing all the tasks I have to do, she has been sleeping away happily!
I am not at all pleased with this girl and she owes me big time!!!
