The young kids got out of the car.
"Mum - do we have to get out here? It's hot and horrible."
"Yeah - where's my ipad?"
The mother led them around to the other side of the car - giving them some sunscreen and hats. "Put these on!!"
"I don't want you getting as red as the ground around you." She wasn't wrong there!!
"Take a look in that direction" She pointed over to Uluru - which stood magically in the distance so they could just see it.
Oh wow! can we climb it now?
"No - they have some set tours that you can climb part of it. From next year you can't. We'll go when we can."
They just looked around - they stopped thinking about the electronics in the car and started to appreciate the sunburnt landscape around them. The animals, the trees and plants that all seemed to absorb and worship the sunlight.
