*Time Mage is a starter card so you don't have to purchase or rent to use it
It's Asuna!!! ପ(๑•ᴗ•๑)ଓ
Everything about it is so gorgeous she probably stops everyone with her beauty.
Hence the slow...
Consider this a guide for ≤ Gold league players
Time Mage is one of the very few monsters with Slow ability at level 1. Slow can be devastating for the opponent where attacking first is important + increasing the chances for the friendly monsters to evade an attack.
I like to use Slow for Opportunity where you can strike enemies faster and take them down earlier to gain a number advantage.
Another scenario are Little League rulesets where monsters are capped at 4 mana cost. Since lower mana monsters are generally lower in speed, the Slow could make them slower than ever, and then proceed to take them down earlier to gain the number advantage.
For this instance, all splinters were available for battle. The popular choice would be fire splinter as Scavo Chemist has cleanse and can last 2 rounds at most. Cleanse removes all negative effects from the 1st position monster which includes poison in this case. Scavo Chemist is also a starter card so you don't have to purchase or rent to use it. Not forgetting the Forgotten One who has Immunity at level 1 and great stats.
Next popular opinion would be water splinter as River Nymph has cleanse and can last 2 rounds at most. River Nymph is also a starter card so you don't have to purchase or rent to use it.
These 2 starter cards usually entice players to use them for the cleanse in poison matches. And for the important tank to deal the main damage, they would be higher mana monsters like Living Lava or Diemonshark. Since these 2 are melee monsters, I found this strategy to be very effective in this scenario.
All set! This exclusive strategy works pretty well for me so let's see...
Of course this is not really considered a low mana match and I certainly did not expect a Rusty Android tank to deal with. Plus the combo of Thaddius Brood summoner, my Time Mage and Elven Mystic hopes of going into Round 2 became 0. The opponent uses many tank targeting monsters as well that brought down my tank. He was striving to take down my super tank in the first round since all his backline's health could not tank a poison tick.
It was a wrong prediction after all but damn I got so close. I could probably score if I had used a legit tank for the 7 mana 1st position. Or simply just stick to the popular strategies.
In any way, this concludes my Time Mage challenge. See ya'll in my next post!
