Hello friends how are you all? I hope you all are doing well. I am also doing well. So today I am back again with a new post. Today I reviewed another card from Splinterlands. This card belongs to the Earth Splinter. Its mana cost is 11 and it is a ranged attacker. The name of this character is Silverleaf Mage. And I found this character quite strong so I thought I would share its review with you all today.
So first let's talk about its stats. At max level its mana cost is 11 its ranged attack is 4, speed is 4, armor is 3, and health is 13. Its type is Elf. And it is a Rare card.
Now let's talk about its abilities. At max level it has four abilities: Taunt, Corrosive Ward, Poison Burst, Divine Shield.
Because of Taunt the enemy attacks are attracted towards Silverleaf Mage. This means if the opponent has normal attacking monsters they will often attack Silverleaf Mage. And this gives our other monsters a chance to survive for a longer time.
Corrosive Ward makes Silverleaf Mage even more dangerous against melee attackers. When a melee attacker attacks Silverleaf Mage the attacker's maximum Armor is permanently reduced by two points.
This means if the opponent keeps hitting Silverleaf Mage with melee attacks their defense Armor keeps getting reduced by two points.
Now comes my favorite ability which is Poison Burst.
If an enemy defeats Silverleaf Mage the attacker gets 100% Poison. And the monsters on both sides of the attacker also have a 50% chance to get Poison.
A poisoned monster loses 2 Health at the start of every round.
Because of the protection from Divine Shield when Silverleaf Mage takes damage for the first time it completely ignores that damage. This means when it is going to take damage for the first time Divine Shield absorbs that damage.
And this combination of Taunt and Divine Shield is very good because Taunt attracts enemy attacks towards itself while Divine Shield absorbs the first damage.
Now let me tell you which position is best to use this card from so that it can perform well. In my opinion using Silverleaf Mage in last position or backline is the best. Because it is a ranged attacker it is not good to place it in the front position.
But because of Taunt it can attract enemy attacks towards itself from the backline and with 13 Health plus 3 Armor and Divine Shield it can survive for quite a long time. Keeping this card in the backline is the best. From there it can make full use of its abilities.
Now let's talk about its weaknesses. Silverleaf Mage's biggest weakness is that its mana cost is very high. With an 11 mana cost we cannot use it in low mana battles. And its second weakness is that it is a ranged attacker so it will not be able to attack properly from the front position or the first position. Its speed is also average so it is not a very fast monster. And these are its weaknesses. Other than this I don't see any major weaknesses in this card.
Now let me tell you my overall opinion. Overall I found Silverleaf Mage to be a very strong card. It has many good qualities. It protects the team damages the Armor of melee attackerspoisons enemies after it is defeated and completely absorbs the first damage. So it comes with very good abilities. It also has 3 Armor, 13 Health, and 4 Speed, which are good stats. Its Health is especially very high which is a good point. But yes it has an 11 mana cost so we can expect these good stats and abilities because 11 mana is quite high.
So overall I would like to give this card 9 out of 10. I gave it 9 because if its mana cost was a little lower like 9 mana I would give it 10 out of 10. But because its mana cost is high it gets 9 out of 10 from me.
So guys this was my Splinterlands post for today. I hope you all liked it. If you liked it please let me know in the comment section and support me as always. Thank you so much and bye bye!
