Hello splinterlands warrior!
Today I want to share a Splinterlands card that I find quite interesting because of its useful abilities. The card is Mana Warden. What makes this card special is not only its stats, but also the combination of three different abilities: Shield Ward, Impede, and Piercing.
Shield Ward
The first ability of Mana Warden is Shield Ward.
At the beginning of the battle, the unit standing directly in front of Mana Warden receives the Shield ability.
Shield reduces damage from melee and ranged attacks by 50%, making the front unit more protected against physical attacks.Because of this ability, Mana Warden can be very useful when placed behind a strong tank.
Your tank can receive Shield while Mana Warden stays safely behind it.
One interesting thing about Shield Ward is that the Shield is applied at the start of the battle. Even if Mana Warden is defeated later, the Shield remains on the unit that received it.

Impede
The second ability is Impede.
Impede is a useful ability for slowing down enemy units. Whenever Mana Warden makes a successful attack, the target loses 1 Speed.
This can become more useful as the battle continues. If Mana Warden keeps successfully attacking the same enemy, that enemy's Speed can continue to decrease. A slower enemy may have more difficulty getting attacks in the right order.
Impede can also be applied more than once, although the target's Speed cannot be reduced below zero. The effect can be cleansed, but Mana Warden can apply it again with another successful attack.
Splinterlands Support +1
Piercing
The third ability is Piercing.
Piercing is especially useful against enemies that have Armor. When Mana Warden's attack is higher than the enemy's Armor, the extra damage goes directly to the enemy's Health.
For example, if an attack does 6 damage and the enemy has 4 Armor, the extra 2 damage can go through the Armor and hit the enemy's Health.
This makes Piercing useful when facing heavily armored opponents. Instead of stopping completely at the Armor, the attack can continue through it and damage the main Health of the enemy.
Final Thoughts
For me, the interesting thing about Mana Warden is the combination of these three abilities. Shield Ward helps protect the unit in front, Impede can reduce the enemy's Speed, and Piercing helps deal damage through Armor.
Because of this combination, Mana Warden is not simply a card that attacks. It can also provide support and create different strategic possibilities during a battle.I think cards like Mana Warden make Splinterlands more interesting because choosing the right position and understanding each ability can make a big difference in a battle.
