Last week my dad had an operation on his back to relieve the pressure on a pinched nerve. He spent most of the week in the hospital and I spent two days there with my parents.
It's not easy seeing your parent in such a situation.
Usually I take pictures to help me find the sublime in the mundane. Obviously I am not about to share a picture of my dad or the hospital itself but I did manage to find one lovely window that I thought was unique enough to share.
The hospital had port like windows looking out to the courtyard. We didn't get to go outside, my dad can still barely walk, but I like the imagery of the porthole looking out onto the sunlit green yard from the dark interior.
I hope my dad will keep improving and that he'll slowly regain his strength and be able to walk easier with less pain.
I wish you all to be able to be there for your loved ones when they need it. When they need you.
Good night and may tomorrow always be better.
