There's nothing better than waking up in a house on the beach.
However, in this case, I am sleeping.
I go to the window and watch the sea. I go to make a cup of tea.
"That's strange, it's already been made."
I'll take the tea and open the front door and sit on the step. I wish to smell the sea and hear the waves.
I try to open the door. But it is stuck. That's ok, I'll try the window.
That is stuck too.
There is a knock at the door. I'll try to open it again.
That's strange, it opens.
There's nobody there.
But the door is open and now I can sit on the doorstep and smell the sea and hear the waves
It is overcast now and a little windy. The waves are getting stronger. It is fun to watch. I don't want it to be calm every time.
Then, I hear the doorbell. How can that be? It rings again.
Where am I?
I'm in the bedroom in my first floor flat. Someone is ringing the bell. It has woken me up.
That was a nice dream. It had better be important.
I open the door. It is the postman delivering a record. Vinyl doesn't fit in the postbox.
Usually, the first thing I would do, is play my record. But, I'm thinking to myself, it would be nice to live in that beach house
That said, I am still very lucky. I live a two minute walk away from the beach, so I think I'll take that walk and go and stare at the sea.
First, I'll make a nice cup of tea.
Pictures were taken in Paignton, Devon, UK in 2014 on my iPod touch 4th generation.
I really did live a few hundred yards from the beach, which is bliss.
