While I was strolling around the park, trying to spot some interesting models playing with light and shadows, all of a sudden I stumble upon this man sitting silently against the old brick wall, casting a prominent shadow right next to him. His whole being screamed exhaustion, it could have been the long day of hard work or maybe just the shear fatigue of existing that made his aura so heavy.
His eyes were locked on some distant point, baggages of the world slung over his shoulder and a smoke slowly curling from his fingers. His presence was simply too fascinating to me, and I knew I had to have a portrait of him. Asking him can i take photos and he accepted and was perfectly comfortable for the camera, focusing on the same distant point the whole time. I think it speaks for itself how well the atmosphere of the moment translated on to the photo, don’t you agree?
I added both the color version as well as the black and white processed image to this post, which one do you think portrays the mood better? Share your opinion in the comments below!
