Hello Homestead Family
After so many setback today I finally decided to start work on the garden I desire to have around my house here. Having earlier cleared this very spot about two months back, a timely flood came and halted all the activities. Since then I have waited for water to clear out before I can begin the garden bed but soon as that happened I have gotten engaged with some more serious farming activities of harvest that has drawn my attention away from this completely.
Today I have got a spare time this morning and have decided to embark on this. Guess what?
Soon as the rains have stopped the soil here became terrible hard and it takes lots of energy to weed this grass. I have learnt that lands that are usually water logged gets dried the most when they eventually do.
The soil is so hard to weed that I am thinking of either to have this spots wet with water constantly for some 2-3days maybe this can make it a bit soft so that I can find working on it easy, it's so hard here that one may have to take some pain relievers if I continue to work it like this.
Even more than I think are so much Stone here that I have to uproot in order to expose some clear soil, breaking up the hard soil to create the vegetable bed is really difficult too.
There is definitely alot of working and clearing out to be done here before the garden gets started.
