Its a bit of a treat to have some wildlife that resides in front of my building. There are some tall fir trees that are home to a few types of birds and some squirrels. I use a Nikon 200-500mm to be able to get as close as possible. Sometimes there is so much shade that it can be tough to get some good lighting, but I am persistent and will keep my camera ready for any opportunity I see. This one was out in the middle of the day so there was a bit of sun peeking through to help keep this little creature out of the shade. I've learned to not make any sudden noises or movements so that I can observe them going about their business.
