The Andean condor is a New World vulture. It is found in the Andes Mountains, for which it is named, and also along the Pacific coasts of South America. It is primarily a scavenger and nests at elevations up to 16000 feet. They are often called, depending on the country they are found in Argentinean condor, Bolivian condor, Chilean condor, Colombian condor, Ecuadorian condor, or Peruvian condor. All of them are the same species of bird.
