I would normally apologize for any offense I might cause when I mention anything against Chinese Consumption of RARE and ENDANGERED anything (but NOT this time). You know, like Elephant Tusk (Ivory), Rhino Horn (you know, fingernails) and Pangolin Scales (The EARTH’s only MAMAL that grows SCALES naturally, or fingernails). Now the thing that you don’t hear of so often is ROSEWOOD. There are many different varieties of this species (I guess they are “sub-species”) that have traditionally used to make very expensive, high quality musical instruments. Now the wonderful country that imports some 29,000 TONS of Pangolin Scales and have made the White Rhino extinct (or is it the Black Rhino) is decimating the worlds supply of Rosewood. Rosewood has been on the “Protected” list for several years and China acknowledges this fact, but they are still the worlds Largest THIEF of rosewood importing millions of board feet of this rare hardwood driving it to the point of extinction just so that “China’s nouveau riche” can have this for a coffee table, lamp, or almost anything you can imagine. The GREED and CONSUMPTION of China’s newest class of wealth is truly hard to imagine, but you should try to imagine this:

If this doesn't affect you, I truly am sorry!
