We often talk about consistency as though it is the only prerequisite one needs to be successful, but sometimes we fail to understand that it doesn’t end there because you can be consistent at the wrong thing.
Every one of us, at some point, knows one, two, or more people who have been consistent in a line of business or skill for many years but haven’t gotten results.
That clearly states that consistency alone doesn’t guarantee results.

Even if you are on the right track, doing it wrong will lead to years of unfruitful grinding.
To avoid this, you should start on the right foot—this might mean being guided by successful people in the field, career, or line of business you intend to dive into, researching thoroughly, understanding the ins and outs, expected setbacks, etc.
Consistency is important, but you shouldn’t downplay the relevance of mentorship and thorough learning. This will save you from unnecessary stress and fruitless grinding.
