How did we get here?
How did we sell our conscience
for monetary gain?
Justice is only a fantasy
in a state that has
a Supreme Court.
Tell me,
how do we fit in here?
What is the hope for tomorrow?
Education is a key,
but only for those
Who knows the door?
Today, it is a cry for justice.
Tomorrow, it is the celebrities
dragging each other
for unreasonable reasons.
Is it that Nigerians do not know
the right thing to do next,
Or are we simply comfortable
being deaf and nonchalant, as if
It has nothing to do with us?
Until it becomes our turn,
The cycle continues.
