Traditionally, herbal remedies have long been used by families in Indonesia to deal with diseases. Medicinal plants can actually be cultivated at home.

Medicinal plants are either partial or whole plants such as leaves, stems, fruits, bulbs (rhizome), until the root is used as a medicine, a ingredient, or a medicinal potion.

Betel leaves are often found as decorative plants in your front yard. But apart from being a houseplant, it turns out that betel leaves are also rich in benefits.

Plants that have large, spreading leaves and typically develop leaves contain levels of vitamins such as vitamin c, thiamine, niacin, riboflavin, carotene that are good sources of calcium, tanning, saponin, and the essential types of oil.

The betel leaf is also known for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and skin cooling properties, and it is effective in treating a wide range of skin problems.
Some other benefits come from betel leaves such as alleviating constipation, reducing breathing problems, treating coughing, and treating nosebleeds.
