Watching a Sparrowhawk perched atop the antenna (Es-Eng)

Qué alegría poder estar nuevamente en esta hermosa ¨FeatheredFriendsCommunity¨: Al comienzo de semana estamos con mi abuela en el fondo de casa y vimos un ave preciosa, por eso no dudo un instante en buscar la cámara para filmarla y participar de este maravilloso ¨Show-Me-A-Photo-Contest¨: 

What a joy to be back in this beautiful ¨FeatheredFriendsCommunity¨: At the beginning of the week, my grandmother and I were in our backyard and saw a beautiful bird, so I didn't hesitate for a moment to grab my camera to film it and participate in this wonderful ¨Show-Me-A-Photo-Contest¨: 

Hubo unos días que tuvimos el clima tipo primaveral; cuando los días están así, acostumbramos sentarnos en el jardín para observar a las aves. En eso estábamos cuando vimos a esta ¨especie¨:  de ave sobrevolar el fondo de casa, y aunque parecía que pararía en algunos de nuestros árboles, no fue así.

There were a few days when we had spring-like weather; when the days are like that, we usually sit in the garden watching the birds. We were doing that when we saw this species bird flying over the back of the house, and although it seemed like it would land on some of our trees, it didn't.

Mi abuela me comentó que este ¨genero¨:  de aves es de esos que sobrevuelan buscando nidos de otras especies para robar y comer sus huevos. Lo cierto es que descendió en lo alto de una antela; al parecer, desde allí arriba tiene una mejor visión del entorno. La verdad es que es un ave realmente hermosa; me encantó que, a pesar de estar lejos, mi abuela lo haya podido filmar.

My grandmother told me that this genus of birds is one of those that fly around looking for nests of other species to steal and eat their eggs. The truth is, it landed on top of an antle; apparently, from up there it has a better view of its surroundings. It really is a beautiful bird; I loved that, despite being far away, my grandmother was able to film it.
