Muchas personas me preguntan por qué me gusta mucho caminar, o por qué escogí atletismo para practicar siendo tan chica, y mi respuesta siempre es la misma; estas son de esas cosas que heredé de mis abuelos. A ellos les encanta este tipo de actividades y me inculcaron desde que aprendí a caminar; es la razón de que ame estas actividades.
Many people ask me why I enjoy walking so much, or why I chose track and field when I was young, and my answer is always the same: these are things I inherited from my grandparents. They love these kinds of activities and instilled that love in me from the moment I learned to walk; that is the reason I love these activities.

Siempre que los veo prepararse con sus indumentarias deportivas, no puedo evitar sumarme a tu travesía, en especial si la intención de ellos es visitar la reserva para caminar; allí es realmente muy placentero, y no es que cuando caminamos por el microcentro no lo sea; aquí es diferente en muchos sentidos.
Whenever I see them getting ready in their sportswear, I can't help but join in on your journey—especially if they plan to visit the reserve for a walk. It is truly pleasant there; not that walking through the city center isn't, but this is different in many ways.

Son varias las cosas que hacen que caminar por el predio sea diferente al del microcentro; uno de ellos es el silencio; es decir, no hay esos ruidos molestos de las calles de la ciudad, porque en realidad, en la reserva se pueden oír todo tipo de sonidos, pero como son agradables, uno realmente lo disfruta.
There are several things that make walking on the grounds different from walking in the city center; one of them is the silence—or rather, the absence of the annoying noises found on city streets. In reality, you can hear all sorts of sounds in the reserve, but since they are pleasant, you truly enjoy them.

Otra cosa que me apasiona de las caminatas por el predio es que siempre damos con plantas que nos regalan preciosas flores, y eso es realmente maravilloso, y las veces que visito el lugar voy preparada para dejarme sorprender con alguna belleza floral. La verdad, no hay nada que me apasione más que dar con flores hermosas durante nuestras caminatas.
Another thing I love about walking around the property is that we always come across plants that gift us with beautiful flowers—it’s truly wonderful. Whenever I visit the place, I go prepared to be surprised by some floral beauty. Honestly, nothing excites me more than finding beautiful flowers during our walks.
