On today's walk, I'm taking you to a still unknown place, but there are some steps we need to complete first. We must be attentive and follow the instructions that The Forest is giving us. It is not just a usual walk I guess, but a walk guided by nature.
So, as one of the first steps, we have to pass through some green passages and shady corridors.
These corridors, made of green reeds, weeds, creepy plants and shrubs are not very long. We can't get lost... we don't even need navigation. Just follow the light, the sunshine and we are again on the wide path of the forest where this walk starts.
As a help in this journey, we can read the stone signs by the path... Those, on the left. Can you spot them, this pile of rocks?
They can be seen better from another angle. So now, I officially present to you the first road sign. Or artwork, whatever. The thing is that these rocks indeed show the direction to get to our destination. That unusual place I briefly mentioned, hidden in The Forest.
As we walk more signs are appearing. Some tree stumps are engraved with a kind of map. It is so simple, I mean just straight lines showing streets and blocks in The Forest.
However, the very next tree is displaying a different shape of the trail. In the end, it is just following the only visible and wide path we have and...
...we finally get a real sign.
The first real, road sign today is here. A bit crooked but it doesn't matter. What it says can lead us to the place we are heading to!
Oops, I took the photo of the sign from the backside. 馃槵 We are doomed... now we don't know where to go.
But don't you worry, I have a very reliable method to decide where we are going now.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe,
Left or right, where to go?
Hmm... let's go to the right. We pass from The Forest's main boulevard to a smaller, narrow path. I am sure it is leading us there. Where? I don't know, it is still a hidden place.
And here it is.
Seems that our destination is an old, stone house. It looks peaceful, a bit worn-out but charming.
It has a main entrance - a wooden door. We should knock on that door if we are well-behaved guests.
Knock, knock!
...
Dear walkers and readers, nobody is at home so we can't enter and meet the hosts. The interior of this house will remain unknown to us, although I have found another door too. On the lateral wall, there is a metal door but we see, it is also closed.
Locked with a thick chain and lock it indeed stays a hidden place in The Forest.
But this walk was not in vain, we stretched out a bit our legs on fresh air, listened to the birds and crickets and followed some signs that nature gave us.
Also, we can see the exterior of the house and some details. For example, olives! Well, a branch of an olive tree:
A tube by the wall, on the floor. Where does it lead?
It conducts us to another tube-shaped item sleeping in the grass. An old bucket that misses its bottom. Unfortunately, we can't ask the housekeeper to cut the grass around the house and pick up this bucket.
Maybe I come back another day and see if I have more luck, but now I am going to follow the same signs but backwards to arrive home.
