I have a small bit of BTC in a Nexo account. Have been planning to buy some HIVE as part of my learning the platform at some point, so after the delegated power, I decided to also use some of that BTC to power up even more!
In the Peakd wallet there is a Deposit button to the right. This uses SimpleSwap. I have used services like this before to swap currencies. They are quite nice and simple, usually at the cost of a slightly higher fee. However, when I tried to do it this time I kept getting a message saying the pair was not supported. The only thing I could figure out was the BTC network was extremely congested at the time. Maybe SimpleSwap stopped doing swaps for some things during the time I looked.
So... not to be derailed, I decided to register with Binance using the Peakd affiliate link I found by clicking the OTHERS SERVICES button on the left. After some fumbling around I was up and running on Binance with no funds. So I used a free withdrawal from Nexo to send 0.001 BTC over to my Binance account. This took FOREVER to complete it felt like. BTC network really kind of sucks. 😅
After about 2 days of waiting, the transfer cleared and I was able to use the BTC to purchase around 223 HIVE. This was practically instant and awesome!

So that is my experience purchasing some HIVE. I'd like to keep growing my Hive Power now, naturally and maybe converting some other crypto assets I have lying around in the future.
