Trading Quote #3 "Think for yourself, understand your perceptions"
It is natural for humans to seek guidance, and learn from other individuals. We live in a time where information is more abundant and accessible than ever. This gives us the ability to be more informative and knowledgeable than ever. However, information has become a double edge sword but it doesn't have to be.
Not every piece of information is created equal. Some may be better sourced than others. Some may have relevance, while others do not. Others feed into hysteria, most is for providing entertainment and conversation.
That is why successful trading by design is difficult. You make trades based on information you've collected with a preconceived imagery of what should be.
This is dangerous, but it doesn't have to be... As long as you understand your perceptions and how it came to be you can look back and suppress all the errors of linear thought. Then something magical happens...
You look at information for what it really is: Developments. No longer do you act on impulse, now you look for future developments to signal that you are thinking ahead and for yourself. Your perceptions becomes clear and your finally making the most of the information age.
Now are you going to make the quantum leap, or forever chase your tail?
