What is segwit2x
From what I found out, the simplest way I can tell is that it is increasing the block size. It is separating the transaction data from signature data, therefore making the transactions faster and I believe cheaper fees. The technology makes sense to me in that it would be helping users out in that way. There are concerns of course that I also came across over some research.
Replay protection
From what I've learned this is a huge concern and reading on how it could be an issue is very valid. Those who might now know what that means like I did, an example would be that if you send someone some bitcoins on the chain, an attacker could copy that transaction and make you resend that again.
My thoughts
Well seeing as I'm pretty much new at this, I can speculate what will happen with alt coins and bitcoins rise or drop. Actually, that's all anyone can really do really because you can't really see the future. You can be more educated though and make it seem like you knew what was happening all along. As long as you keep up with the news and see peoples interest, you should be able to make great informed decisions. remember the people dictate the market price and if they feel it is good, the price will reflect. My thoughts are that I think that the alt coins will go down for a little bit instead of up like they did on the bit coin gold fork but that's just me. Anyways, I would like to know your thoughts on this also
