Usually it is the bees that take the pollen from the flowers. It is unusual to see other insects devouring the sweet nectar that sprouts from some plants, so it was strange to see a fly hovering over that yellow one.

At first I thought it was a bee or wasp, but as I zoomed in with my cell phone camera, I saw it was a fly. The big eyes were recognizable.

Despite the fact that its size was smaller than bees, I wanted to try my chances by zooming in with my Samsung S6 to get as close as I could to the fly without it fleeing to another location.

The light was very good, however, I activated the flash on the device to get more detail and to improve the clarity of the image.

I keep believing that nature is amazing and that there is a tiny world so symmetrical and perfect that we know nothing about.

When we do macro photography, we show a part of the world, with the limitations of only being able to see what our devices allow us to see. In the case of this cell phone, I think it processes colors and details really well.

The mix of that fly and that yellow flower makes a big impact on me. I wish I had more specialized lenses to portray more accurately the insects I have the opportunity to see in my environment.
