Last Sunday, while out in nature with some colleagues—partly to scout for landscape and wildlife photography spots—I came across this tiny little beetle perched on a leaf.
This small, orange-colored beetle is quite sensitive to movement and sound, making it rather time-consuming to photograph. The fact that I have shots with various backgrounds is a testament to how quickly it would take flight at the slightest noise.
It was quite a challenge, having to stalk it silently and hold my breath every time I tried to take a picture. The natural beauty hidden amidst the bushes and wild grass is truly captivating—all the more so because I have a personal fascination with the world of insects.
As for its specific name, I wasn't initially sure. I spent quite a while searching online, but after asking Google Gemini, I discovered that this little insect is a Red Lily Beetle.
It looks very similar to the examples I found online, although the name doesn't quite align with the habitat where I discovered it—nestled among wild bushes and grasses.
If any of you happen to know the exact species name for this insect, please feel free to share your knowledge in the comments section.
